About GNN Non-News

GNN Non-News is a direct result of a silly parody on another, unnamed web site. There, in all seriousness, members were encouraged to apply for a news “correspondent” corps position. Non-News was born from an idea to poke a little good natured fun at the corps. However, after a few months of play, we discovered that Non-News is a rather real and pervasive phenomenon, occuring in the Internet and on TV wavelengths, radio and print media.

Here at GNN Non-News, we are strident in our display of everything that is NOT news. “News” is harmful. It is negative. It’s like bad gossip, only bigger and more invasive. To be a “news” hound is to be a dog afflicted with the worst kind of malady.

Taking oneself non-seriously is a must for a lighter, brighter world.
